Cowboys and fishermen alike work their trades against some of the most beautiful backdrops in the world. Here in the late afternoon, cattle have been sorted into pairs (moms and babies) so eventually the younger calves can be moved to a separate field.
Much the way lobstermen tend their traps, and move some to more productive areas these cowboys tend the cattle. Each grouping, or string, need to be accounted for and taken care of before they can call it a day. This view is just another day at the office under the magnificent Steens Mountains.
